Heinrich Kolb 2015-07-09 08:43	Zugabe! (auf Englisch: Encore!) Diese Rufe aus dem Publikum hört man als Musiker nach einem gelungenen Konzert natürlich immer gerne. Aber auch als Zuhörer ist es ein besonderes Erlebnis, wenn eine Aufführung tatsächlich so gut war, dass man ihr Ende so lange wie möglich hinauszögern und die Musiker zum Weiterspielen animieren möchte. Zugabe-Rufe sind auch der "Black Dyke Band" nicht unbekannt. Gemäß ihrem Motto "Justum Perficito nihil timeto" (Handle einwandfrei und fürchte nichts) ist sie auch auf dieser CD unter Leitung von Dr. Nicholas J. Childs und Dr. Robert B. Childs nach Perfektion bestrebt. Mit "Encores" gibt die Brass Band nur einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf das große Repertoire, das für Zugaben zur Verfügung steht. "Come Follow The Band" – mit dieser Einladung aus dem Musical "Barnum" beginnt die CD. Dass Zugaben sowohl fröhlich und beschwingt sein können, zugleich aber auch nachdenklich und ruhig, beweist die "Black Dyke Band" hier sehr überzeugend. Zum Träumen lädt beispielsweise das Bassposaunen-Solo von Adrian Hirst in "Old Pops Was Right" ein, während "The Old Circus Band Galop" oder der Marsch "Fiesta Parade" dagegen einen eher beschwingten Konzertabschluss markieren.
